Caleb & Shimaya
Caleb and Shimaya was my first wintertime couple session of the year! And Shimaya couldn’t have contacted me at a better time, because I was seriously ITCHING to get out of the house to shoot for the longest time.
Winter is by far the slowest month business wise for a lot of Midwestern photographers, because temperatures plummet so low here … and even for folks born and raised in Michigan like me, it’s not something a lot of us can stomach for long, especially when it comes to enduring sessions in the great outdoors.
But, even with the cold, there’s so much that can be done with wintertime sessions. They’re underrated to say the least. The world dusted with snow, putting on the coziest winter clothing and accessories, etc. just makes for the cutest sessions, especially for couples like Caleb and Shimaya. And they understood the assignment all too well with their adorable matching winter boots!
