Gabe + Segilola: Couple Session
As much as I have my favorite spots at Belle Isle in Detroit, I wanted to make up a creative plan to explore more of the island. I asked Segilola, a blogger who I’ve followed for sometime now, if she’d be up for a photoshoot along with her husband Gabe around the historic William Livingstone lighthouse on the isle. I was so excited that they ended up both wanting to do a session! They set out on an early morning with me to the lighthouse, as cold and windy as is it was. The lighthouse was a little farther than I originally thought, and it took walking for a few minutes up a winding trail that lead to the house at the end of it. Once we finally got right up to the house, the walk was well worth it. It was exactly what I expected it to be with the only downside being that we had no access to the steps of the lighthouse because of the locked gate surround the bottom of it. Regardless, it was so fun working with such a cheerful couple like Segilola and Gabe. Despite how cold and windy it got that morning, they did so well during the session and had awesome energy!
